June 12, 2019 — (Hollywood, CA) — Lewis Capaldi’s “Spotify Singles” is out today. Recorded at Spotify Studios in NYC, the two- track set features an A Side performance of his new song, “Hold Me While You Wait” and a B Side cover of Billie Eilish’s “When The Party’s Over.” Listen here.

Last week, the 22-year-old Scottish singer-songwriter made his U.S. late night television debut on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” performing his breakout hit, “Someone You Loved.” Earlier this week, Capaldi performed the song on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” and in an unprecedented move, Corden invited Capaldi back to perform for a second night in a row– watch his performance of “Bruises” here.

Capaldi’s debut album Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent has over one million global adjusted album sales and amassed over one billion combined streams worldwide. The album has topped the UK official album chart for three consecutive weeks and is the fastest selling UK debut of 2019 with 90,000 albums sold in the first week.  “Someone You Loved,” shattered records throughout Europe and just ended a nearly unprecedented seven straight week run at #1 on the UK charts. In the U.S., the single recently hit #1 on Spotify’s Today’s Top Hits playlist.

It’s a Top 20 hit at Hot AC radio and climbing Billboard’s Hot 100. Capaldi’s North American summer tour – which included shows at New York City’s Irving Plaza and the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles – sold out early on, prompting him to upgrade venues and add a series of fall 2019 headline dates. Capaldi’s March 2020 tour of the UK and Ireland sold out in mere seconds, making him the first artist in history to sell out arenas prior to the release of a debut album. He will join both Ed Sheeran and The Killers on tour in the UK this summer. Full itinerary can be found here.

“Lewis Capaldi has a generation in the palm of his hand,” says The Line of Best Fit, praising the album as “compelling.” Billboard declares, “Lewis Capaldi is an artist ‘You Should Know’. He has captivated listeners with his soulful voice…and has had a meteoric rise since his single “Bruises” went viral.” TIME notes, “Lewis Capaldi has the kind of deep, textured voice that you could listen to for hours. He finds expressive rough edges, then smooths them out into the sweetest of notes…Capaldi’s talent is tugging at heartstrings – or rather, pulling at them with all his vocal might.”

Capaldi was hailed as a 2018 Vevo DSCVR Artist To Watch and a 2019 Vevo LIFT Artist, longlisted for the BBC Sound Of 2018 Poll, and won Breakthrough Artist of the Year honors at the Scottish Music Awards. He was nominated for the BRIT Awards Critics’ Choice award and named an MTV UK PUSH Ones To Watch artist. Capaldi has toured with Rag’n’Bone Man, Niall Horan, and Sam Smith, and performed at such festivals as Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Firefly, Mountain Jam, Splendour in the Grass, Fuji, and Osheaga.
