Fresh from being the iconic face of Smirnoff’s LGBT We’re Open campaign and Toyota’s creative Go Your Own Way campaign, queer provocateur pop star LE FIL has released the new self-directed music video for 24/7, the title track from his upcoming show 24/7 LIVE at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2018.

‘I am so excited to release this video. It’s one of the most fun songs to perform during my shows and is a favourite amongst my fans. I wrote 24/7 about our society’s all-you-can-eat consumerist desire. On the surface the song is about satisfying customers, but it could also be about the process of satisfying lovers as a service scenario and the objectification of ourselves’

In the video LE FIL takes us on a cheeky and fun romp through the streets of Soho London, cruising toilets and colourful Chinese supermarkets. It’s a fast-paced and energetic clip where he guides us through the city’s never-ending shops and fun entertainment.  The music video was shot and edited in a single day while LE FIL rehearses for his upcoming shows at The Edinburgh Festival Fringe over August 7-11th and the upcoming Sink The Pink ‘Ta-Dah’ Tour which kicks off at Bestival.

‘The video is a taster of what to expect from my live shows. I’m not just queer in my sexuality and gender, but I like to queer up cultural boundaries too. I’m a new artist trying to break into the music industry, but I want to do things a bit differently. That’s why I’m doing Edinburgh Fringe, it’s the worlds greatest platform for creative freedom and it’s so much fun!’

The 80s-sounding, industrial pop track 24/7 is taken from LE FIL’s current Nightlife EP and was written and produced by LE FIL and FRANKMUSIK. The ‘pop gig with extras’ 24/7 LIVE features LE FIL exploring a world of gay-straight men, desire and objectification through a fusion of hip-thrusting, pounding music, twisted autobiography and gender-bending performance art. Expect striking visuals, queer dancers and warped pop routines to a kaleidoscopic soundtrack of live music taken from LE FIL’s Pop Sculpture and Nightlife EPs that will leave you gagging for more.
