(Toronto, ON): Today marks the much anticipated release of Euphoria, a collaborative EP between future soul / R&B vocalist a l l i e and producer The Kount. Inspired by classic soul recordings, they used tape machines, vintage and analog gear to create a textured sound palette. They recorded the project at Marquis Studio in Toronto and brought in their musician friends to play on the tracks, including Leland of BadBadNotGood and Hannah of Luna Li. Adding a live horn section, strings, bass and keys elevated all of their initial concepts and reflects the blissed out state of mind they were in during the studio sessions.

This release is the first project for a l l i e since the release of her critically-acclaimed debut LP Nightshade that was nominated for the Polaris Prize Long List; a collection of the 40 best albums in Canada, across all genres. The Kount has a strong fan following online, and is known for his rich instrumental tapestries and prolific output. The Kount and a l l i e have previously collaborated on the songs “Let Her”, “No Forever”, “All the Love”, “Wildcat” and “Move Like A Mystic”.
