The indie / alternative band from El Monte, The Red Pears released “Alicia” (EP) on Cosmica Artists (LISTEN) last week.

“Alicia” is an offering to the women that raised them. “We always had the idea of dedicating something to our moms, so we just thought we would dedicate this EP to them. It just felt like the right time to do it because of all of the opportunities that we have been getting and are now getting, and with all of our accomplishments to this point,” Jose Corona (drums/cofounder) says on the project title.

This year those opportunities included hitting the Liberty Stage at Echo Park Rising, playing two weekends at Coachella and drawing a huge crowd at an early set time for Tropicalia, among many.
The band expresses gratitude and gives proper credit. Specifically to “the homie” Luis Martinez, a long time friend who in addition to painting the cover art for the last 3 Pear’s projects, he directs and shoots the band’s first official video for “Flowers“ (“Alicia”).

The guys are performing at @ The Glasshouse in Pomona, Dec 28 for the EP Release show with The High Curbs, TheBreezeWithFlo & Mexican Slum Rats. Plans to tour in 2020. Dates to come.
