SUMif Releases New Single “Know You”

Only days away from sharing the stage with Youngr at San Francisco’s Rickshaw Stop on Nov 2nd, electro-pop staple SUMif releases an effervescent new single, “Know You.”

Lush and breezy, “Know You” introspectively examines what it’s like to be completely and utterly enchanted by another person. It’s fun electro-pop with elements of raw, honest vulnerability.

Exploring gender and sexual fluidity in her lyrics, videos and performances, SUMif is exactly the sort of pop force that the music industry needs. Raised in LA on Sheryl Crow and pop punk, Steph Wells aka SUMif started her musical journey across the US when she moved to New York City to study music business at NYU. After graduation Wells packed up once again and headed to the songwriting mecca of Nashville to try her hand there. After her stint in Nashville, Wells decided another move was in order. Trading in her acoustic guitar for midi controllers, Wells headed to San Francisco where she has really started to make a name for herself.

SUMif’s debut EP Pretty Cage was released earlier this year and received glowing praise from tastemakers such as NYLON, C-Heads, and Billboard Pride, among others. She has also become a go-to live performer in her hometown on San Francisco where she has opened for acts such as Lauv, Verite, Classixx, and Ella Vos. This summer she also took center stage at San Francisco’s iconic pride festival.

In an often dark world, SUMif’s music is here to make you feel good. Plain and simple.
