    Ro Bergman Shares “Clouds” Video

    WATCH: Ro Bergman – Clouds

Indie-rock musician, Ro Bergman shares the suitably ethereal video for his second single, “Clouds” from his debut EP, New Horizon, via Bergman Music, which has premiered via The 405.

The audio track was premiered via XS Noize on August 14. The video was filmed by renowned photographer Linda Leitner (Red Bull, Burton, Vogue), while the song was produced by Niko Stoessl (Dave Gahan, IamX, NIHILS, Motoboy) and composed by Ro Bergman, Niko Stoessl, Ramon Riezouw.

With over 50,000 Spotify streams and over 88,000 Youtube views, Bergman is well on his way to establishing himself as an artistic voice. His song “Best Time (Song for Marcel)” was inspired by Austrian Olympic skier Marcel Hrischer and went platinum in Austria, receiving over 60 000 downloads in Austria alone. “Clouds” follows the single “Horizon” and its video, which was released on 23 May 2019 and has already racked up over 17,000 Youtube views.

The indie singer was born and bred in Austria, choosing to travel all over the world but always returning home to deliver his vulnerable, deep voice in the end. It was his family that first introduced him to music, however, his passion for the industry only grew as he began playing music in a band in high school.

Ro Bergman draws inspiration from a wide variety of artists including Beck, Bon Iver, Fink, The National and The Verve. These influences come together to paint a portrait of Ro Bergmans work, with the colours of the single shining through.  As a result, he has managed to create a unique sound, comparable to Tame Impala, Foals, Local Natives and Chet Faker.

The video for “Clouds” is a soothing visual feature extending the theme set out by the track title. Stunning time-lapse footage of swelling and fading cloud formations and shots of the picturesque Kitzbüheler Alps, a lone figure floating in a seemingly endless body of water and close-ups of the artist are superimposed, immersing the viewer in a surreal, yet comforting, atmosphere. The cool, muted colour palette and minimalist style compliments the airy and meditative nature of the song, “Clouds,” inviting you, as it draws to a close, to “come on and ease your mind.”

Ro Bergman had the following to share regarding his new music video: “The essence of the song is featured by characteristic spots from my home area. It shows and symbolise that no matter where an idea is born, it can grow and transcend all borders.”
