It’s out! “3AM” is the latest R&B pop single from Auckland artist PRINS and we are premiering it exclusively on Elicit!

Unlike her previous works, this track offers a glimpse into the more intimate side of New Zealand’s up and coming pop artist.

‘”3am” lyrically was inspired by internal conflict between head and heart decisions,” PRINS comments.

Since the age of five, the singer/songwriter has been growing her career in the arts and has no intention of leaving the industry anytime soon. Between live performances, producing, recording music and releasing some killer music videos, we see PRINS rising to the top of the charts in no time!

When it comes to the production process for her songs, PRINS typically starts with the instrumentation alongside her producer and then moves onto the melody and lyrics.

“Once I have a rough idea for a song I then take it back into the studio [and] we work back and forth until we were happy with the track,” says PRINS. “Along the way, we do often pass it out to a few third party members for different perspective too, such a fun creative process!”

When you listen to the track, you’ll notice it has a pop-soul twist with a touch of R&B. “I wanted the track to have a smooth RnB vibe while keeping a punchy drop especially to the chorus that people could really feel inside them,” says PRINS. “I also wanted to expose a more intimate version of myself so people could understand the versatility in my music.”

She is young, determined and is headed full force into the music industry, especially with her latest track, “3am.” Be sure to keep an eye on this sultry powerhouse in 2019!
