Today, Pete Yorn releases a cover of the Pixies’ classic “Here Comes Your Man (feat. Liz Phair)”: get it HERE via Capitol Records.

The critically acclaimed gold-certified singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist pays tribute to this timeless anthem, while infusing his signature sense of soul. Driven by upbeat guitars and striking delivery, the track is embellished with background vocals by Liz Phair. “It was one of those songs that stopped me in my tracks when I first heard it back in the day,” says Yorn. “It informed my sense of melody in a big way and I always wanted to sing it.”

Starting September 23 in Franklin, TN, Yorn will kick off An Evening with Pete Yorn tour. The run will bring Yorn’s live acoustic show up the east coast, including a show at New York City’s Gramercy Theatre on September 30. Tickets are on sale now, and full routing can be found below. Visit PeteYorn.com for more details.

Earlier this year, Yorn and frequent collaborator Scarlett Johansson released a new EP, Apart. Now, the pair have shared remixes of the EP’s single, “Bad Dreams”—a cover of “Worried” by Brooklyn-based band The Echo Friendly. Remixes by UK electro house producer Feed Me and French house DJ Fred Falke are both available now.

Apart continues to incite applause from fans and critics alike. In an extensive feature, Entertainment Weekly claimed, “The dreamy alt-pop on the new EP demonstrates that the creative kinship between the troubadour and the movie star is much closer than you might expect.”Meanwhile, in an interview with the pair, Forbes noted, “They missed working together. That comes across in the music, which ranges from the fun of the opening track ‘Iguana Bird’ to the more ethereal ‘Movies’.”
