Los Angeles’ Pardyalone Drops Captivating New Single “Cupid”

Los Angeles-based hip-hop cultivator, Pardyalone, has just released his new single, “Cupid.” The song features his honest perspective on the sudden, intense pain of reminiscing a past love. The track reflects the angst from vulnerability and the urgency to forge ahead of grief. “Cupid” is now available to download and stream on digital platforms worldwide.

“Cupid” is a confessional for all the sentiments built and bottled up for nearly a year in his life. This buoyant track is fused with heartbreak over the ghosts of past Valentine’s Day memories. Pardyalone brilliantly integrates his emotions of pain, lust, and confusion to create a song about the trials and tribulations of love that many can relate to their own lives. With the endless amount of songs that show the beautiful side of love, Pardyalone wanted to express the often ugly contexts of affection that are overlooked. “Love is honestly hard,” he says.

“Sometimes it doesn’t work, and you’re left with nothing.” His realization in the stagnant perspective of relationships since his breakup expresses the overwhelming feelings at the moment, yet provides a glimmer of optimism for personal change in the future. Produced by Ezy, “Cupid” follows a couple of previously released singles inspired after recollecting himself late in 2021 to write about his suppressed emotions towards addiction, family issues, and love.

Kalvin Beal, known musically as Pardyalone, was born and raised in the small town of Big Lake, Minnesota, and became interested in hip-hop when he found a passion for learning the instrumentals behind his favorite tracks. He quickly went from writing to recording his own twist on an already modern sound.

He credits his musical influences to Juice WRLD, Bryson Tiller, Bob Marley, amongst other R&B and alternative artists. With placements on Spotify’s official “Fresh Finds” and “Fresh Finds Hip-Hop” playlists, Pardyalone is quickly making a name for himself in the rap scene.

“Too many of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fears.” Pardyalone’s ability to uniquely express the calamity a heartbreak can cause is a true testament to who he is as a songwriter and artist. “Cupid” is now available on streaming services worldwide.
