NE-YO is celebrating today’s release of his seventh studio album, Good Man (Motown Records/Compound Entertainment), with a free concert in New York City’s Central Park. His performance will be televised on ABC as part of the 2018 “Good Morning America” Summer Concert Series.

The official video for the album’s title track, “Good Man,” will be given its broadcast premiere this morning on “Good Morning America.” The clip, which was shot in Los Angeles, was directed by Jerome D (Kendrick Lamar, Afrojack). “Good Man”recently topped Billboard’s Adult R&G Songs chart and can be heard in the ad campaign for the 2018 Lincoln Navigator.

NE-YO, who has sold a cumulative 20+ million adjusted albums worldwide, will perform on the outdoor stage of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Wednesday, June 20. He can also be seen on the hit NBC series “World of Dance,” serving as a judge alongside Jennifer Lopez (who is also the show’s executive producer)and Derek Hough.

Good Man is an expedition through the highs and lows of love, with an extra shot of candor. It showcases NE-YO’s growth musically and personally, while reacquainting fans with the sounds of classic R&B. In the lead up to the album’s release, Good Man racked up over 35 million combined streams worldwide.

The new single, “Push Back” featuring Bebe Rexha and Stefflon Don and produced by Stargate, was hailed by Idolator as “a sunny dancehall-infused banger.” The official “Push Back” video has more than 25 million views.

Ebony said, ”NE-YO keeps R&B up-front & personal…[The album ] depicts a man who is willing to be the best person he can be to the people around him.” Essence praised “standout tracks ‘U Deserve’ and ‘Apology’” and noted, “While the album boasts the smooth melodies we’ve grown to love from the multi-Grammy Award winner, NE-YO’s collaborations…keep his work of the moment.” In addition to Bebe Rexha and Stefflon Don, Romeo Santos and PARTYNEXTDOOR also feature on the album.

HotNewHipHop observed, “He’s proven to be a master at making sultry R&B tunes.” UPROXX said, “with movements like #TimesUp and #MeToo seeking to return agency and dignity for women back to the public discourse, NE-YO’s ‘Good Man’ single feels refreshing and new.” NE-YO spoke with WWD about the album, self-acceptance and redefining “cool” for young men in this interview.

NE-YO’s first single, 2005’s “So Sick,” hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and was certified quadruple Platinum. Since then, he has racked up a collection of hit singles – including “Sexy Love,” “Closer,” “Because of You” and “Miss Independent” – and three of his albums have entered SoundScan’s Top Current Albums chart at No. 1. NE-YO, who has won three GRAMMY® awards and 14 nominations, has proven to be as powerful with his pen as he is in the recording studio and on stage. The Las Vegas native quickly became known as a go-to hitmaker, penning bangers like Rihanna’s “Unfaithful,” “Russian Roulette,” and “Take a Bow,” along with Beyoncé’s 2006 breakup anthem “Irreplaceable” and songs for such artists as JenniferHudson, Usher, Carrie Underwood, Celine Dion, among others. NE-YO’sfilm and television credits include “Save the Last Dance,” “Battle: Los Angeles,” “Stomp the Yard,” George Lucas’ “Red Tails,” “Empire,” “The Wiz Live!” and “Step Up: High Water.”
