    “JUMP” EP

Today, British artist, producer and DJ, Little Boots releases her highly anticipated new EP, Jump via On Repeat Records, and featuring two never-before-heard tracks—the Cyril Hahn produced title song, “Jump” and rousing floorfiller, “Mistake.”

A follow-up to her critically acclaimed BURN EP, Jump marks a decided return to the dance floor for Little Boots, who reveals, “sonically the feel of this EP is closer to the dance floor than ever, as I am DJing constantly, but I wanted to bring some warmth and sunshine to the music and was inspired by balearic beats and bass grooves that take me back to summer nights in Ibiza or London.”

The euphoric 4-track EP also includes two previously released tracks, the Jordan Reyes-produced, Kylie Minogue-inspired “Secret,” which Consequence of Sound called “lush and vibrant” and “Lesson,” hailed by Earmilk as “a sleek, timeless house track,” which “brings effervescent and exotic energy to your ears” resulting in “instant infatuation on the dance floor.” On “Lesson,” Little Boots pairs up with legendary Parisian ballroom icon, artist, producer and DJ Kiddy Smile. Talking about the collaboration, Little Boots explains “‘Lesson’ is about freedom and acceptance. Choosing to love yourself and own your desires, and the interplay between passion and deeper feelings. I have been a big fan of Kiddy Smile for a while, he is such an icon and pioneer of the Parisian ballroom scene. His vocal is so unique and it was amazing to get him to feature on the track.”

For Little Boots, the new EP is “about a jumping off point, about rediscovering your inner strength and identity and reaching a place where you are ready to take risks again, about throwing caution to the wind and challenging yourself,”she explains.“It reflects my own personal journey since moving to LA two years ago, coming through difficult times and realizing that sometimes choosing yourself is the most powerful decision, and that you are the architect of your own happiness.”

The stunning Lucrecia Taormina-shot artwork was inspired by a viral meme under the hashtags #flauntyourwealth and #fallingstars, in which rich young influencers would stage shots pretending to fall out of their expensive cars or houses with all their wealth splayed around them on the floor,” she explains. “This spread to other themes, workers falling with their tools or kids with food… so I wanted to recreate this idea of what defines you by falling in a club with all my instruments and electronic equipment.”  On collaborating with the photographer, Little Boots gushes,“I was so happy to work with Lucre Taormina again who I have a long working relationship with on visuals, we really understand each other and get excited by the same concepts, and this time I really felt like we pushed our work to a whole new level.”

The ‘Jump’ EP is out now.

More news to come from Little Boots soon.
