November 2, 2018 — (Hollywood, CA) — Lemaitre release their new track, “Little Things” today via Astralwerks, available to stream/download here. The Norwegian-born, Los Angeles-based electronic duo recorded the song as a b-side to complement their latest single, “Big,” out now.

“To me this is a melancholic track about hope and hopelessness, and maybe some regret. And that if you find yourself down, it will eventually pass.” said Ulrik.

Fresh off their performance at the Austin City Limits Festival, Lemaitre will kick off their North American headline tour on November 28, with show at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles. Dates will also include The Crocodile in Seattle, the Wonder Ballroom in Portland and a December 15 concert at New York City’s Gramercy Theatre. Tickets are available at https://www.lemaitremusic.com. See below for full itinerary.

VMAN praises their “uber- catchy melodies and shimmering new wave synths” and deems “Big” “an anthemic, slow-churning electro-rock tune that’s very reminiscent of the Beatles and reflects a more organic and instrumental approach to their glossy sound.” Watch the accompanying video here.

Earmilk said, “Lemaitre is a name you should already be acquainted with” and NPR has praised their “bouncy rhythms and catchy hooks.” The FADER found favor with Lemaitre’s “sun-kissed nu disco,” and Stereogum touted their “steadily-growing amount of pop clout.”

The duo, which formed in Oslo, Norway in 2010, takes its name from Georges Lemaître, the Belgian priest and astronomer known for introducing the Big Bang theory. Signed to Astralwerks in 2014, Lemaitre has released five dance-oriented EPs, a remix collection, two short form releases and the long-form compilation Chapter One. The latter included “Closer” feat. vocalist Jennie A. and Higher” featuringMaty Noyes. Cumulative worldwide streams of Lemaitre’s music exceed 200 million. Their songs have been featured in global campaigns for Google, Apple, Facebook, FIFA 2017, Skyy Vodka, PayPal, Tropicana, Infiniti, Hugo Boss, AT&T and more.
