Fast-rising London singer, songwriter and musician, and BRIT School alumni KIT RICE, who has been backed by the likes of BBC Radio 1, Music Week, Complex and MTV UK, is proud to unveil his debut album titled Konfidence, which was released on June 25 via KAR Records/AWAL. The highly anticipated album comes on the back of a string of well-received lead singles such as ‘Dance All Night’, ‘Just A Kiss’ and ‘Always Been This Way’, alongside massive remixes from DJ Fen, DJIMON and Operator S.

Two years in the making, Kit Rice’s Konfidence album follows on from his last project, 2016’s Living Life EP, led by the single ‘Not Enough’, was championed by Music Week, Complex and MTV UK, among others, while 2017 brought two massive collaborations with DJ Freek, which were supported by Kiss FM, Capital Xtra, Rinse FM and BBC 1Xtra, to mention a few – revealing Kit Rice as one of the most exciting new vocalists to emerge from the UK R&B, dance and electronic music scenes.

From the slow-building groovy funk offering ‘Dance All Night’, the sultry power ballad ‘Just A Kiss’, and the emotive 90’s R&B esque ‘Always Been This Way’, to the euphoric dirty dance music inspired ‘Sweat’, the positive life-affirming Gospel inspired ‘You Are Enough’, and the beautifully stripped back curtain closer ‘Catch You When You Fall’, Kit Rice has delivered a glorious R&B Funk record, with excellent Pop sensibilities, thoughtful and relatable themes, and most importantly, artistic integrity and honesty.

Speaking about the inspiration behind his Konfidence album, Kit Rice says, “I wanted to create an album which didn’t try to tick any boxes or put me in a category, I simply wrote what I was feeling, and married it with a sound that expressed that feeling. The message I want to promote is self-confidence in its many forms, being safe in your skin, and moving the world on from prejudice and hate. Confidence isn’t about always being right, but not being afraid to get it wrong, take chances, live your truth and never take no as the end. Take it as the beginning”.

On how the Konfidence album came to life, Kit Rice adds that, “The best thing about making music is sharing it with other people and I’m so excited to share my latest piece of work. Birthed in my bedroom and nurtured in a few of my favourite local studios, this album has been a labour of love from start to finish and features some of my dearest and most talented friends. Having such a diversity of sounds, with fresh ears and ideas, helped make this an amazing recording experience for me. This album is all about confidence, honesty and positivity but, not shying away from difficult issues”.
