Billionaire Kanye West returns to the top of the album charts in historic fashion again this week, as his ninth solo studio album, JESUS IS KING, debuts at #1 on the US album chart, surpassing the Beatles and once again tying Eminem for the most consecutive #1 album debuts in chart history, with nine.

JESUS IS KING, which arrived in stores on October 25th via G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam Recordings, immediately went to #1 on Apple Music in more than 90 countries, #1 on Spotify, #1 on Amazon, and was the #1 Trending Album on Twitter. JESUS IS KING becomes the most streamed first week in Kanye’s entire career in the US and the UK.

This week, JESUS IS KING tops the Rap Albums chart, the Christian Albums chart, and the Gospel Albums chart simultaneously. In addition, all eleven tracks on JESUS IS KING debuted on the Hot 100, led by “Follow God” at #7 – giving Kanye over 100 career entries on the Hot 100 songs chart.

The October 25th release of JESUS IS KING coincided with the global opening of the IMAX film of the same name. Kanye premiered the album and film experience at a special listening and screening event at the Los Angeles Forum.
