(Silver Springs, MD) March 8, 2022 – Eli Lev is a popular indie folk singer/songwriter who’s latest project, True North, was inspired by his time teaching in the Navajo Nation of Northern Arizona and traditional Navajo belief that of the black night, of reflection, of quietude, of completion, and the stage where we get the highest amount of understanding from events and actions.

Since 2020, Eli has been working on another project, to be realized in full on April 8th, 2022 as an EP called Walk.Talk.Dance.Sing. Inspired by the pandemic, Walk.Talk.Dance.Sing explores the range of emotions that we all went through as a society in an instant. Eli realized how much music truly meant and how powerful it really is to keep us going.

His first release from this project, “Be Your Someone,” released in August 2020, kicks everything off with an indie pop sound similar to that of Ben Harper or Bon Iver. This song is about Eli and his partner figuring out how to live and coexist with each other.

“There were a lot of tears and confusion as we tried to figure out how to live with each other in our new reality, but in the end we knew that we were each other’s someone – and it was ok to love and hate and have all those mixed emotions play out in order for us to better understand each other, and better understand our relationship together,” shares Eli.

His most recent release, “Vacation,” released on February 25, 2022, is bubbly and harbors a pop bet. After 2 years of being stuck and isolated, “Vacation” reminds us that we need a physical and mental vacation from everything that’s happened, that we need a break and movement.

“I wrote Vacation as a way to remind myself that everyday I could put myself in the same mental state if I was thankful for my partner and everything we had in life,” he shares. “We could be each other’s escape and peaceful feeling. I wrote this song turning all the mundane tasks of everyday living during the pandemic into something exotic and special and interesting – kind of like an extremely long vacation!”

Stay tuned for what Eli has next. He is truly an exceptional artist whose music not only has infectious sounds, but whose meaning is powerful and striking.
