Fiery, feisty and fundamentally badas*, DEJA is that artist you listen to when he’s done you wrong, you’re getting ready for that night out and you’re preparing to take the town by storm. Describing her music as a verbal eye, her sass-soaked singles are just that and her latest release ‘ Mulan’ is no exception.

“Much like Mulan, DEJA will ignore all rules to stand up for what she believes in. Long story short, don’t get in a bad bitches way. As kindred spirits, DEJA’s new single ‘Mulan’ reiterates what you already know; DEJA is the main character and you better treat her as such” explains DEJA, the protagonist in this story

‘Mulan’ lands after an undoubtedly successful year last year for DEJA. 2021 saw the release of DEJA’s EP ‘Intro’ (listen here), a project that quickly excited widespread support across the media including Wonderland Magazine, Notion, Clash Magazine, Complex, Trench – as well as ardent support from her local BBC Introducing London. Following the release, singles ‘Boujee’, ‘Wishin’ and ‘Like That’ continued to maintain this traction and truly cemented DEJA as an artist to keep a firm eye on this coming year!
