Two founders of boutique record label Moving Castle, AObeats & Robokid, release their collaboration single “Sunny”. The single, which features collaborative production and Robokid’s vocals, is a fitting summer single.
“It’s very literal but when I write meanings jump out. This song is kind of about the safety of being in your own bubble. Sometimes it’s good to escape that,” Budnick explains. “A lot of the songs I write are pretty funny and ironic. I didn’t really think that would be my writing style, but it’s been very natural.” – Robokid via Billboard Pride.
With 2018 already being a momentous year for Robokid, the producer-DJ-remixer turned singer-songwriter, with the release of his debut EP and follow-up singles, “DEAD2ME” and “Fishing Lessons.” The collaboration also highlights a continued growth in fellow producer, AObeats, that was also showcased in his recent mixtape, Pilot.
