Anna Shoemaker is quickly becoming the new darling of alt-pop. Drawing elements of indie-pop, alt-rock, R&B, and hip-hop combined with her dreamy, hypnotic vocals, Shoemaker has created a unique hybrid that undoubtedly stands out among the masses.

Today, Shoemaker unveils the official music video for her new single, “Liquor Store.” Drawing us into her pink-tinted world, the “Liquor Store” music video is another alluring glimpse into Shoemaker‘s gritty and glamorous New York lifestyle. Substream Magazine, who premiered the video today, praised Shoemaker for her “level of artistry” and called the video an “emotional, impactful experience.”

Shoemaker may only have two singles under her belt – “What Am I Doing To Me?” and “Liquor Store” – but her dynamic and intoxicating releases are quickly garnering much-deserved attention. Shoemaker’s debut EP is slated for release this Fall and was recorded in Nashville with GRAMMY-nominated producer JT Daly (K.Flay’s “Blood In The Cut”).

Shoemaker launched her music career with a viral mashup of Kendrick Lamar’s “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe” and Chance The Rapper’s “Cocoa Butter Kisses” that amassed over 760K Soundcloud streams and got her noticed by Steve Madden’s record label, 5Towns Records. Shoemaker is quickly building out an impressive live resume. She closed out last year opening for Bishop Briggs at Music Hall of Williamsburg and will soon be sharing the stage with indie darling Donna Missal at Rough Trade on September 10th.
