Nashville, Tenn. (June 29, 2018) – Sultry pop artist Zāna announces her debut EP THE BEAUTY OF ZORA set to be released July 27, 2018. Her new single “Wish He’d Stayed” is available today across all streaming platforms following the exclusive premiere with Ones to Watch. With stunning visuals filmed and directed by CBR Media and shot at Art Factory in Paterson, NJ, watch the video here.

The EP title, THE BEAUTY OF ZORA, is dedicated to Zāna’s grandmother, Nana Zora, who she is named after. The name Zana Zora, means “Beauty of Dawn.” Zāna found inspiration in this for several reasons, one of them being that “dawn” means new beginnings. This release represents the closing of a chapter in Zāna’s life, which in-turn opens up a world of new possibilities, new beginnings and a fresh start.

Listen to “Wish He’d Stayed” here.

“This EP means so much to me and even though “Wish He’d Stayed,” the first track on the EP and the first to be released, almost didn’t make it on there, it is now one of my favorite songs I’ve written so far,” shares Zāna. “Overall, each song is connected to the next and all of them reference different mental health struggles that I have dealt with and that most people experience in one form or another. I dedicate this EP to my nana Zora who was beyond brilliant andbeautiful , and suffered from schizophrenia. I do have her name and a physical resemblance to her, and I imagine that I took some of her personality and wit as well. I hope those that listen to my music find comfort in it as I did when writing it.”

    THE BEAUTY OF ZORA Tracklisting:

    1. “Wish He’d Stayed”
    2. “Toss N Turn”
    3. “Why Can’t You”
    4. “Dreaming”
    5. Bonus Track: “Gone”

Zāna, a versatile musician with a sultry voice, incorporates influences from different genres and cultures, such as Arabic and Latin, to create her unique sound that she describes as “gypsy-pop”. The rising star has collaborated with Grammy winning producers Tim Mitchell (Bob Seger, Shakira) and George Noriega (Ricky Martin, Shakira, Jennifer Lopez). Her last single, “Call Ya,” premiered with Just Jared Jr. and the video garnered over 1.4 million views on YouTube.
