Acclaimed Singer-Songwriter Rebecca Turmel Releases Her Sophomore Single “Wish You Well”

After receiving critical acclaim for her debut single “Am I Missing Something,” emerging singer-songwriter Rebecca Turmel has unveiled her sophomore release on all DSPs. According to the New Hampshire chanteuse, “Wish You Well” is an extension of the heartbreak she discussed in her debut song.

“This second track from my forthcoming collection of songs is basically part two of the story,” said Turmel. “It’s about my desire to finally move on and to not dwell on the negative that came from the painful experiences in my previous relationship.

I wrote down everything I was feeling. That’s when I realized the only way I was going to move on was to truly let go of everything that happened and focus on the positive instead.”

A juxtaposition to “Am I Missing Something”’s raw, stripped-down, acoustic vibe, “Wish You Well” embodies a much fuller, more positive, lush sound, thanks to Turmel’s signature, radiating vocals and first-class group of musicians, including renowned artist Jim Yeager (Guitar, Drums, Vocals), Chris Decato (Piano and Organ), and Ben Kogan (Upright Bass).

The track, unlike its predecessor which was purposely recorded to emote a hollow and visceral feeling, was fully-produced to give it that larger-than-life, reawakened sound.

To do so, Turmel turned to the experts at The Underground Recording Studio (Randolph, VT), who included Yeager (Producer), Michael Doucet (Mastering), and Vincent Freeman (Recording and Mixing). According to Turmel, she wants fans to relate to her music – whether sad or uplifting. And know that she’s been through it all.

“I want my listeners to be able to put themselves into my songs/stories and identify with them to help guide them to a better place mentally,” she said. “For this particular single, I wanted fans to know that there is another side of heartbreak.”
