Lia Caton, the artist that Newsbreak said was “always honest and irresistibly relatable”, premiered her first release for 2022 with the hopeful “I Keep My Eyes on You” hitting Amazon, Apple Music, Pandora, Spotify and all online streaming and purchase platforms today. Aligning with the song’s release, Lia gave back to the community by making a return appearance at C-U at Home’s One Winter Night event in Champaign, IL, raising funds and awareness for the homeless community.

“This song is about how we all go through hard times in life and spend some time in ‘the valley’,” says Lia. “For me, it’s my faith in God and my family that helps to pull me through. I keep my eyes focused on them and what is important to bring me peace.”

“I Keep My Eyes on You” is the fourth preview track from her forthcoming album coming later this year. 2022 also served as her fourth appearance at C-U at Home’s One Winter Night event which puts those suffering from homelessness at the forefront of the community in an event that allowed patrons and supporters to take a 12-hour trip through a night on the streets in winter. The cause hits home for Lia because, as a child, she saw her father struggle with homelessness and addiction.

“I’m was so honored and excited to be a part of this amazing event. My first time was as a box dweller and speaker at the event in the winter of 2019. I shared the story of my father Artie’s struggle with addiction and homelessness to offer hope to those still struggling and to the fellow box dwellers. While he was homeless, with the help of volunteers and the medical community, he went on to become sober for 15 years and assisted others with their journey to sobriety. I can tell you the evening I spent sleeping in the box was life changing. It was very cold out. No one should have to live that way. I’ve met so many wonderful people through this event.”

Lia reached a monumental milestone in her career in the fall of 2021 when she released her previous single “Hell or High Water”. The single would find itself profiled on the official Academy of Country Music’s New Music Friday Playlist alongside Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert & Brandi Carlile. Guitar Girl magazine spotlighted her music stating that “Lia shares both so vulnerable and intimately in every lyric.” WMGQ-FM’s Debbie Mazella wrapped up Lia’s personality and music with two simple words “fun and feisty.”
