Today, London-based poet, singer, saxophonist, orator, and inspiration to many Alabaster DePlume announces a new double LP album called GOLD (which will be released on 2xLP, CD, and Digitally via International Anthem on April 1st , 2022) and shares a two-song lead single(s): “Don’t Forget You’re Precious” b/w “The Sound of My Feet on this Earth is a Song To Your Spirit.”

“Don’t Forget You’re Precious” also comes via a powerful video directed by Jordan Copeland. About the video, DePlume’s camp says: We don’t always realise when we are destroying ourselves. Blindfolded, and dressed as a symbol of oppression, Alabaster reminds us that we are precious, confessing that he ‘forgets sometimes’, as we watch him lead a platoon of children in his own destruction.

    Watch the official video here!

One day Alabaster DePlume was cycling home across Hackney Downs and was rammed by two boys on mopeds, causing him to fly through the air and land on his back. They stole his bag and gave him a kicking. The next day, he was working on a song at the studio. “I thought ‘I will put some words on top of this music’. I said ‘don’t forget you’re precious, I forget sometimes’. And I said all the things that I’ve been saying to other people because I want to hear them myself.”
