Los Angeles, CA – Mexican singer-songwriter, Gaby Lagarda, release her new music video for “Refugees,” the third single off her debut EP titled SOULDIER.

“Refugees” is a cry for understanding the difficulties of life and the path to achieve freedom from our demons, our past and our future.

The music video was shot in beautiful Joshua Tree with a 1983 JVC KY-310 camera, nicknamed “the fire department” because of its red body.

Everything was cut from two one-shots during sunrise and sunset, with the purpose of reflecting the one-way journey and duality of two characters. One that fights inner battles, and one that fights the world every day in pursuit of a meaningful life.

One of the outstanding qualities of the music video is that while looking for a vintage vibe and playing around with split screens, one-shot is always in reverse throughout the song.

Gaby was born and raised in Mexico but decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue music. She graduated from the Music Business program at Musician’s Institute and has been writing songs and working on her craft for the past couple of years.
