Drawing influence from artists as diverse as J Balvin and Ozuna to Lauryn Hill and Kehlani, Amber Donoso is infusing reggaeton with her own personality and edge while staying true to the Latin background that inspires and defines her.

Her latest single, “Cheer You Up”, is out today!

Born in the UK, Amber spent her childhood frequently travelling between London and Chile. Making a name for herself in the worlds of fashion and modelling, she never lost focus on her true passion for singing and song-writing, as she eagerly absorbed musical influences from both sides of the Atlantic while remaining deeply rooted in the rhythms of South America and the sounds of reggaeton.

“I hope people can begin to understand my artistry through this new track and the sound it represents. I’m so excited to be a part of the movement bringing Latin music and reggaeton over to the UK.”

After intense recording sessions spent in Miami’s prestigious Rebel 11 Studios working with top-tier producers, engineers and songwriters such as Ricardo Quintero and Los Rumbos (known for collaborating with artists such as Bad Bunny and Farruko) Amber laid down a collection of incredible singles that are set to light the music industry on fire in 2020.

The first in this series is her latest release, “Cheer You Up”, a dazzling reggaeton-pop gem that acts as a trailblazing crossover between the vitality and vigour of Latin music, the melodic sensuality of R&B and the gorgeously catchy pop of Shakira and Gwen Stefani. Described by the artist as her “favourite track” that she’s written to date, the song unfolded naturally in the studio in a matter of hours, as Amber poured her heart out in an act of pure artistic expression.

“This is a love song that represents my sensitivity and vulnerability, expressing the love, lust and care that I have for someone close to me.”

Singing confidently in Spanish and English, Amber Donoso builds bridges between genres, bringing together diverse sounds together to produce a sound that reflects not only her Latin background, but her unique personality: luminous, bold and beautiful, Amber’s music shines as brightly as she does.
