Rising Ghanaian Afrobeats artist Darkovibes – who The FADER recently cited as being at the forefront of “revolutionizing the way we see life in Ghana, helping to bring the representation gap between Africa and the rest of the world” – returns today with the standout single “Come My Way” featuring acclaimed Nigerian musician Mr Eazi.

CLICK HERE to listen to the KillBeatz-produced track available now on all digital streaming platforms worldwide. “Come My Way” is the latest release off Darkovibes’ forthcoming debut solo album expected to arrive in 2020.

On his new single, Darkovibes shares, “Mr Eazi already had the chorus recorded and sent it over to me. I loved it and recorded two verses of my own. Killbeatz heard the initial beat Eazi sent with the chorus and reproduced everything from the top, while adding his own touch. ‘Come My Way’ is about being there for the girl if her boyfriend isn’t doing her well. Peep the beat’s heaviness!”

As the musical landscape in Ghana continues to shift, there are a few standouts including Darkovibes who are poised to take over for the next generation. The acclaimed singer, songwriter, and producer has garnered regional success with solo singles like “Mercy” and “Tomorrow,” and has been an integral player in the growing success of La Même Gang, a collective of budding superstars based in Ghana.

Darkovibes’ music defies genre and his effortless ability to coalesce many languages, including English, Pidgin, Ga and Twi, into a contemporary sound has earned him co-signs from some of Africa’s most sought after artists, including WizKid, Mr Eazi, R2bees, and Stonebwoy.

As he preps to release his debut solo album next year, Darkovibes is fusing his tried-and-tested sound with experimental approaches that will continue to push the envelope of Afrobeats music.
