    Pop Music Artist DAYVID Releases Music Video For “Wasted Luv”

    21-year-old singer and songwriter DAYVID, released the music video for “Wasted Luv,” the first offering from his just released debut EP, “Dayvid”. Since its release in late September, “Wasted Luv,” has been praised by critics and listeners around the world, with the song playing on Top 40 radio in major markets across the United States.

    “Wasted Luv,” is produced by Grammy-Nominated Morgan Taylor Reid (Marshmello, Christina Perri, Jack & Jack, CHROMEO), and is co-written by DAYVID and Reid. The single was mixed by DJ Swivel and mastered by Chris Gehringer from Sterling Sound (Edgewater, NJ).  The single and EP are available on all streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music HERE.

    The video for “Wasted Luv” is directed by Connor Evert, one of the music industry’s most sought after video directors. “DAYVID and I wanted a timeless video for ‘Wasted Luv’. We wanted a classic video with a modern touch.  So we chose to build it around interpretive dancing to illustrate the love interest and the despair. Since it was the first video from his EP, we wanted to highlight DAYVID and bring the intensity of the song to life through movement, colors and editing. We enhanced the intensity with a dramatic ending using rain and lighting,” says Evert. 

    “The song expresses my experiences in which you get to know someone well and develop a deep relationship, then something goes wrong and you want to forget everything about them. It is a painful experience which causes caution – sometimes too much caution,” says DAYVID. “I wanted the video to convey those emotions as well, which Conner did so effectively.”
