Today The Wasted Youth, a record label/management company announces a new joint venture deal for the rising R&B artist IV, with the iconic Warner Records, the label home to the likes of Dua Lipa, Lil Pump, Jason Derulo, NLE Choppa, Saweetie and more. This partnership sees both labels working together on IV’s forthcoming major label debut. Despite not hearing of The Wasted Youth, many have heard The Wasted Youth through their music: production, writing and visuals. The Wasted Youth has worked with Hitmaka, French Montana, Jason Derulo, Tory Lanez, Lil Baby, Blueface, and Adidas. The joint venture deal is a huge step forward for the young team at The Wasted Youth.

IV was discovered by her manager the acclaimed music video director/producer Edgar Esteves (Alicia Keys, Chris Brown, Russ, Quavo, Offset, Lil Baby, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie) when she only had 3,000 social media followers. He called up The Wasted Youth CEO/Quality Control Music signed rapper-singer-songwriter Jordan Hollywood whom expressed interest. IV saw this as a life-changing opportunity and took the first flight to Broward County the next day. After meeting with The Wasted Youth in their Broward County, FL headquarters, they created a handful of records. The chemistry between IV and the team made her realize that The Wasted Youth was the right home for her. Not to mention they released her first record “Because of Me” through YouTube on May 17, 2018. After this record dropped a slew of labels called showing interest in IV.

“We had offers on the table from so many labels but we decided to turn them all down and continue to push independently while IV grew and perfected her artistry,” says Jordan Hollywood. “When IV was ready to sign a deal, Warner Records felt right for us. They embody the same young entrepreneur spirit as The Wasted Youth. They’ve rebranded and IV is the perfect fit for Warner.”

The Wasted Youth was founded in 2013 and houses the platinum song making producer SkipOnDaBeat. SkipOnDaBeat has produced a plethora of hits from G-Eazy’s platinum “1942”, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s “Come Closer”, PnB Rock’s “Go To Mars”, and Kodak Black’s Drake co-signed record “Skrt”. The Wasted Youth produces everything in house from their custom-made Broward County recording studio with SkipOnDaBeat serving as the lead producer. Four-time Grammy winning producer SmashDavid (Big Sean, Chris Brown, Khalid) also serves a partner and frequent collaborator to the Wasted Youth.

“It’s easy to find something that’s successful and attach your name to it, but finding an artist with zero songs out that lives on the other side of the country is hard work,” says Edgar Esteves. “That’s who we are and that’s the energy we’re bringing back to the game.”
