TIMXSPNT Releases Shares New Single “Trust Issues”

Influenced by the likes of Kid Cudi, Stereolab and James Blake, 22-year-old Atlanta artist TIMXSPNT doesn’t create within the confines of genre. The self-described “music machine” is currently in album mode, preparing a project that encapsulates the youthful rebellion of skate culture and the sonic stylings of influential acts, from Nirvana to Tyler The Creator, ahead of an official date or title announcement, TIMXSPNT shares the record’s first single: Trust Issues.

The self-produced track blends jazz, rap, and punk elements for a grungy effort laden with eerie guitar synths, chopped cadences, and heartbeating drum kicks. In under 2 1/2 minutes, the single explores TIMXSPNT’s lack of trust within relationships and also in society at large. Paranoia manifests in its dark ambiance, but light still shines through as Trust Issues is dedicated to the underdogs and dreamers everywhere. Visuals and a true lead single are coming soon, but for now, this song is the first public glimpse of TIMXSPNT’s upcoming LP, a genre fluid project rooted in growth, knowledge and overcoming obstacles.
