PSYCHEDELIC P*RN CRUMPETS SHARE NEW VIDEO FOR “Hymn For A Droid”

Perth’s Psychedelic P*rn Crumpets today share the raucous video for their latest single “Hymn For A Droid,” lifted from their recently released album And Now For The Whatchamacallit.

Filmed across their recent storming UK/EU run, the video contains footage from their Glasgow, Liverpool and All Points East festival gigs and displays the absolute force of nature that is a Psychedelic Po*rn Crumpets live show. Watch the video HERE.

Psychedelic P*rn Crumpets’ third studio album And Now For The Whatchamacallit is out now via Marathon Artists and is a culmination of experiences lived on the road and influences stemming from the last few years of chaos for the band. The record is testament to Psychedelic P*rn Crumpets’ never relenting vivacious attitude and hungry approach to powerful music, with the band bringing every ounce of this energy and flare to their riotous live shows.

After several festival appearances and their shows with Royal Blood this summer, the band return to the US this September to continue the party. Highlights include The Regent in Los Angeles, Lincoln Hall in Chicago, Music Hall of Williamsburg in New York City and a highly anticipated performance at Desert Daze. A full list of tour dates can be found below. Tickets available HERE.

Hailing from the same Aussie homeland as psych-rock contemporaries Tame Impala, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard and POND, the release of Psychedelic P*rn Crumpets’ And Now For The Whatchamacallit marks an exciting chapter for the band that sets them apart from the crowd. Recorded between Jack McEwan’s bedroom and Tone City Studios in Perth, mixed by Michael Jelinek (Gunns) and mastered by John Davis (Gorillaz, The Killers), And Now For The Whatchamacallitis representative of the band’s huge developed sound and even loftier ambitions.

On the inspiration behind the new album, the band say: “The original concept was to take a 1930’s carnival that had been re-imagined for future generations, a collage of Punch and Judy, carousels and coconut shy’s that progresses in musical concepts and travels with the listener. Then as we started traveling I was swept off into my own kind of circus, the odyssey of touring life. Large nights out, larger characters, drunken recollections of foreign cities and rabbit hole-ing into insanity (kindly illustrated by Quentin Blake)”.
