“Likeable” is the first collaborative release by Los Angeles based VIGILETTI and New York’s Goon Soul. The track is available today on all digital platforms. The idea to work on a project together was conceived after having met at a queer showcase party during World Pride in NYC.

“Likable” is about the tension between being admired and being genuine. It’s about being aware of how were affected by other people’s expectations and judgments, and realizing that it’s more important to be authentic then to be idolized.

    Check out “Likeable” on Soundcloud

From grinding techno in basements to the runways of Paris Fashion Week. 27 year old Visual Artist & Producer VIGILETTI delivers intricate pop/electro records out of Los Angeles. He’s made his mark with remixes for Nervo, Kylie Minogue, Azealia Banks, and Fischerspooner.

VIGILETTI has over 600,000 streams on Soundcloud/Youtube/Spotify and has been featured in SPIN, Billboard, PAPER and VICE. He was a part of multiple Miami Ultra 2019 Compilation Mixes and will release an EP  this fall with new music featured in the forthcoming Balmain documentary.

Goon Soul is Caleb, a Brooklyn resident who, besides making music, is deeply involved in the city’s underground queer performance art scene. His soulful vocals and melodies sound so sophisticated, it’s hard to believe Goon is still just starting out.

“In my music and in nightlife there have been moments where I thought I had to compromise my values to be accepted by my peers. I think most of us, especially queer people, deal with this often throughout our lives.” – Goon Soul

This is an anthem for self love in an era where most yearn for digital acceptance.

The track is being released by Subtractive Records, an independent label comprised of a collaboration of four artists who serve as owner/operators.  Stemming from the mysterious production company by the same name, the studio operates out of a hangar located at the Santa Monica airport.

Starting with its end of 2018 release ‘Music for Space’ by Test Shot Starfish, Subtractive decided to introduce New Music Friday by releasing a new single every Friday for the remainder of 2019.  Subtractive has an extensive background in music videos with plans for some great productions for future releases on the visual side of art.
