NEKOKAT, the collaborative side project of Jordan Witzigreuter (The Ready Set), Cameron Walker and Jess Bowen (The Summer Set), are back with a brand new EP, Pleasure Beach, available everywhere today.

The trio released the first single from the EP, “I Believe In What You Are,” in mid May after taking a short hiatus from releases. The anthemic single has had fans begging for more since the release and yesterday The New Nine exclusively premiered another track from the EP, “My Brain.” The New Nine also chatted with Jordan to get the inside scoop on the meaning and making of the entire Pleasure Beach EP.

The EP takes elements of the band’s pop-punk backgrounds and combines it with modern uptempo electro-pop production. Pleasure Beach once again proves that NEKOKAT‘s music is timeless and relatable for fans both new and old.

Comprised of Jordan Witzigreuter (The Ready Set), Cameron Walker-Wright and Jessica Bowen (The Summer Set), NEKOKAT formed back in 2015. The trio released two EPs in 2015 (Communication and Communication II) as well as a string of singles throughout 2017.

Jordan Witzigreuter aka The Ready Set is the main vocalist for NEKOKAT. Jordan is quickly taking 2018 by storm with the release of his highly anticipated solo EP ‘V1’ and now the release of new NEKOKAT new music. Best known for his commercially successful hit “Love Like Woe,” Jordan quickly became a heartthrob to the teens of the late 00s, hitting the Warped Tour route and bringing emo and pop together succinctly.

Cameron Walker-Wright is a longtime collaborator of both The Ready Set and The Summer Set, taking on the roles of backup vocals and guitar in NEKOKAT. Cameron has also written songs for and with All Time Low, Sabrina Carpenter and Lindsey Stirling, as well as his own band Nineteen 80 Five (1985) who released a collection of EPs and singles on Hollywood Records.

Jessica Bowen is the drummer for NEKOKAT and first got her start behind the kit for the pop-rock band The Summer Set. While playing with The Summer Set, Jessica played sold out world tours and performed at events such as iHeartRadio Music Festival, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and Van’s Warped Tour. Alongside her role in NEKOKAT, Jessica also performs with acts such as Alice Glass, 3OH!3, and Thomas Ian Nicholas.
