Today, New York-based electronic duo, Marian Hill – consisting of singer Samantha Gongol and producer Jeremy Lloyd – have released their brand new visual for their latest song “like u do,” directed by Tyce Hoskin,  which offers watchers a trippy adventure down their own memory lane to accompany the bouncy, electronic track that reflects on the idealization of a past love with the reality of the person they are now.

Speaking about the song, the duo had to says: “We deal a lot with how real (or not real) memory is on our new EP, and this video shows one side of that. We jump through different memories, some directly from our childhoods, some not, and some somewhere strange in between. It’s silly and fun but never quite right – just like that old relationship was, the one that’s just now starting to get fuzzy in your memory.”

Marian Hill first entered the scene when blog support led their debut single, “Whisky” to a top 10 position on Hype Machine’s charts. Following the 2013 Play and 2015 Sway EPs, the duo quietly rose from indie favorite to pop sensation on their own terms bolstered by viral hits such as “Got It” and “One Time.” ACT ONE’s “Down” eventually went platinum, racking up over 102 million Spotify streams, over 50 million Apple Music streams, reaching the top 25 on the Billboard Hot 100, and holding the #1 spot on the US Shazam chart for nearly 2 months. Act One (The Complete Collection) saw them attract cameos from heavy hitters such as Lauren Jauregui of Fifth Harmony and Big Sean, while illuminating the scope of their deep, diverse, and dynamic style. In 2018, the band released their second album UNUSUAL, and along the way played sold-out shows across the US and Europe, captivating audiences at Electric Forest Music Festival, Osheaga Music Festival, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, Governors Ball, Coachella and many more.
