Brooklyn-based indie-pop duo Eighty Ninety return today with a new bright and effervescent single, “Dream.” Based out of Brooklyn, New York, Eighty Ninety is the project of two brothers, Abner (vocals, production) and Harper (guitar, production). Their music fuses intimate storytelling, sticky melodies, and minimalist pop productions built on acoustic instruments and electronic sounds in a style they like to call “808s and telecasters”.

Combining Abner’s signature hazy vocals, with introspective lyricism and forward-thinking production, Eighty Ninety’s newest offering, “Dream,” is an instantly catchy pop tune that is sure to delight listeners.Ones To Watch premiered “Dream” yesterday and described it as “a shimmery, intoxicating sound that will easily melt into a playlist of summer vibes.”

2018 is quickly proving to be a momentous year for Eighty Ninety. The duo kicked off the year with Taylor Swift adding their single “Your Favorite Song” to her “Songs Taylor Loves” Spotify playlist. In March the Brooklyn band made their SXSW debut and were named as breakout acts to watch by tastemakers such as Ladygunn and Indie Shuffle. Following their SXSW success, Eighty Ninety were recently poached to open for Des Rocs at Elsewhere on June 18th.

Eighty Ninety’s music has been quickly gaining fans and supporters from the very beginning. Their break out single, “Three Thirty,” catapulted to #2 on Spotify’s Global Viral Charts and was followed by their debut EP Elizabeth, which was supported heavily by Spotify and tastemakers alike. The brothers returned at the end of 2017 with “Your Favorite Song,” which was also remixed by Island Record’s budding electro-pop duo, Loote. To date, the duo has racked up over 18 million Spotify streams and have received praise from Alternative Press, Huffington Post, Galore, Ladygunn and Ones To Watch, among others.

Eighty Ninety’s unique twist on indie-pop is quickly catapulting the Brooklyn brothers on to the map and even Taylor Swift is taking notice.
