Deuce & Charger Release New Single!

Inspired by Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On and Prince’s Sign O’ The Times – classic pop music that has something to say – Deuce & Charger are a core collective of writers, producers, musicians and DJs enhanced by an ever-expanding family of collaborators including former Nightmares On Wax vocalist Phoenix Pearle, Dead Young Records duo The Witch Hunt and hotly-tipped new solo artist Yo Preston.

Taking their name from members of the Fearsome Five supervillain group in DC Comic’s Superman, Leeds UK-based Deuce & Charger’s debut release ‘Always Broke’ was supported by BBC Introducing radio and the TYR remix (featured on Dubstep.net) was played over 100,000 times in less than a month. Described by Nerdy Frames as “pioneering pop music that has soul, feeling and most of all, positivity”, ‘Always Broke’ is followed by ‘Stop The Sky From Falling’ featuring singer/songwriter Bianca Gerald and rapper Weezy Jefferson. An epic string-laden anthem with a bold and fearless message, ‘Stop The Sky From Falling’ perfectly captures the Deuce & Charger sound: soaring strings and punchy breakbeats blended with uplifting vocal hooks and poignant lyrics.

This is only the beginning and Deuce & Charger continue to search out the most exciting collaborators to create music that Culture Vulture describes as an “uncompromising mix of eclectic pop sounds and styles that resonate with real-life drama and emotion.”
