FlaKes Share New Visuals For Single “Hermes” Ahead Of Forthcoming Debut EP On November 11th

Hermes is the second single taken from FlaKes debut EP, due for release on 11.11.2021.

Flakes fan the disco-funk-pop flames of Parcels, Jamiroquai, Phoenix and Daft Punk, giving us that Good-Times-by-Chic-esque bass riff.

With their second single “Hermes”, FlaKes have done a brilliant job of reconciling music and esotericism. In line with their debut track “Keep Going”, the listener gets carried away by their clear and tangy sound with disco funk pop influences and bewitching lyrics mixing hermeticism and existential questions.

The band says: “Hermes is a call for a real questioning of our far too materialistic worldview. Aren’t we all here below to live and share Love?”

Ode to weightlessness and the multiple pleasures of perspiration, Flakes’ 5-track EP which will be released in October 2021 was recorded under the patronage of Daniel Yvinec who’s collaborated with Maceo Parker, Camille, and Salif Keita.
