NEW YORK, NY – Tired of small talk? Trying to meet the one? Vainly trying to say the right thing but having to start all over again in the morning? Me too.

Swiss-born and raised singer-songwriter Chloé Sautereau is releasing her newest single “Get To Know You Game” on May 12, 2023. Finally resolving to go by her full name, this is the beginning of a series of stripped back singles, highlighting the artist’s vivid story-telling.

Influenced by the works of artists such as Amy Allen, FINNEAS, or Julia Michaels, she brings together pop, folk, rock and more. Rooted in the singer-songwriter style, her unapologetically intimate and honest tone has been compared to the likes of Joni Mitchell or Norah Jones.

Heard on main Swiss radios for a few years now, she released her first EP As I Keep on Dreaming in 2019, at just 18, under the stage name Cee, followed by singles “Conversation Hearts” (2021) and “What If” (2022) under the moniker “sautereau” after her move to New York. Today, Chloé Sautereau continues to paint a world truer to herself, instrumentally as well as thematically, guided by ideas of our human complexities, relationships and trying to find oneself in the whirlwind of it all. She says:

“‘Get To Know You Game’ was born out of getting a little lost trying to meet somebody. Not knowing who you’re supposed to be or what you want anymore, in the world of dating apps and the vain search that comes with them. The repetition, losing yourself in the process, and ultimately just feeling the desire for something real. It’s driven, maybe a little more sassy than I’m used to. But it’s relentless, in a perpetual, cyclical kind of way; hopefully it’s freeing in that sense too. ”

After writing the song last year, she produced and arranged it alongside peers (Luke Girzadas, Emma Wellons), after recording the basics at Corner Store Studios in New York, with engineer CJ Colon. Stripped back, the stakes are in her voice and grounded guitar. The track was mixed and mastered by Harry Burr.

With a video soon to follow, Chloé Sautereau’s “Get To Know You Game” comes out today!
