With a uncompromised emo, indie and pop punk sound, Freiburg’s The Deadnotes take a leap with new single ‘Cling To You’.

Mixed by Beau Burchell (Moose Blood, Saosin, The Bronx) and mastered by Mike Kalajian (Moose Blood, Saosin, Prawn, Bouncing Souls), the track has an unbridled lust for life. “Follow your instincts, fuck your commitments, leave no space for ever lasting doubts,” singer Darius Lohmüller croons.

This phrase from the song sums up the attitude and the hard work the band displays in their still very young career: listen to your gut instincts and without any doubts strive to achieve what really makes you happy.

At 14 years of age, they formed the band and have not rested ever since. They self-released an EP and their debut album “I’ll Kiss All Fears Out Of Your Face”, and have relentlessly been touring through over 25 European countries. They will play their 500th Anniversary Show in 2019.

The message in ‘Cling To You’ is underlined by an irresistible song which is hard to compare to other bands. Not only the punchy vocals but also the songwriting, somewhere between indie, punk rock, emo and pop makes this band absolutely unique.

With ‘Cling To You’, The Deadnotes also bring to life their own record label 22Lives Records, and their plans with the label are nothing short from ambitious. With the speed and verve this trio is currently working at one can only imagine what the future holds for the The Deadnotes.
