Following their springtime single, “Too Late,” the boys of Half The Animal return to bring the heat this summer with some “Magic” for their latest release. Available everywhere today, “Magic” intertwines a refreshing chillwave essence to a memorable pop melody for a surefire hit.

When not gearing up for touring this fall with Lovelytheband, Half The Animal is in the studio collaborating alongside producers such as Captain Cuts (Walk The Moon, Iconapop) and Sam Martin (G-Eazy, Jhené Aiko).

Half The Animal also unleash an official lyric video today in celebration of the single’s release, available now on the group’s YouTube channel.  Listen to “Magic” now on your favorite digital streaming portal.

Catch Half The Animal this fall on the “Broken Like Me” tour with Lovelytheband!

September 17 – Kansas City, MO
    September 19 – Denver, CO
September 27 – West Hollywood, CA
Setpember 28 – San Francisco, CA
October 2 – Santa Ana, CA
    October 3 – Tempe, AZ

Last year Nick and Chase decided to take all they’d learned over the years and do right by music ⏤their true love, starting Half The Animal. In a short amount of time, HTA has accomplished more than most bands with record deals do over the course of multiple albums. Last fall HTA toured with Atlas Genius and with Smallpools and Great Good Fine OK last spring. This fall, they’ll be jumping on tour with Lovelytheband – who held the #1 spot at Alternative radio for seven weeks this year.

These new songs with Captain Cuts and Sam Martin will be the cornerstone of the 2018 launch of Half The Animal. They have radio smashes in the can, but will be rolling things out slowly and building organically throughout the year.

“Magic,”  available today, is our first glimpse into HTA’s debut project Automatic America – an exploration of a generation stuck in limbo: nostalgic for the innocence of a pre-Internet childhood, wrestling with the technology-obsessed society of today and searching for intimacy, authenticity, and meaning in a digital simulacrum.
