Carsen Lundgren recently released her latest single “You.” The track is filled with emotion and smooth instrumental that draws the listener in from the very first note.

The track begins with instrumentals that slowly lure the listener in. Carsen’s smooth vocals, strong wordplay, and soothing instrumentals give the song a chill vibe that carries out through the entirety of the song. Her vocals beautifully flow over the instrumentals which keeps the listener engaged and able to listen intently.

Carsen’s vocals immediately attract the listener to the track. However, the emotion-filled lyrics are the heart of the song.

The lyrics give the listener a sense of Carsen’s feelings and emotions. One line from the chorus reads “And I just don’t know what to do/you got me feeling so confused.” Her lyrics make the listener truly feel her words throughout the duration of the track. She says “I don’t know how to fake it/you got me falling I hate it” which is another example of pouring her emotions out to the listeners. Her uncertainty in her lyrics displays flashes of pure innocence and only wanting one person hence the chorus “All I want is you.”

“I wanted to make a song with a chill vibe that would draw you in from the first beat,” says Carsen.

You can feel the strong emotion in her voice and that alone keeps the listener engaged. The line “Don’t let the moment pass you by cause I don’t want to wait another second for you baby” is telling the listener that she knows exactly what she wants. When she says “Let your troubles come to me” she is showing that she can be that person to count on.

The outro swiftly takes the listener out of the song, however, it leaves the listener truly wanting more. Carsen’s voice sends chills up your spine with her incredible high notes and strong emotion that keeps the listener wanting more.
