“Good things come to those who never wait.” It’s a simple quote, but it’s enough to push nineteen year old Deion Gill above and beyond when it comes to making music.

His latest single Show Me is gaining more and more recognition every day. For Deion, the feeling of being back in the game is incredible. “After being quiet for so long,” he says, “it’s amazing to see how many people still support me and what I’m doing.”

Show Me is co-written with one of his best friends and Warner Bros artist, Major Myjah, and produced by Playgroundz. “We both came up with some great ideas that stuck perfectly, so we just went from there.” Deion goes on to say that the overall vibe of the song is about that undeniable feeling you get when you see someone who catches your eye for the first time.

His biggest challenge so far has been being able to stay patient while trying to share his music, and its overall message to the world. “Don’t get me wrong, I’m more than happy with the amount of people supporting my career, but the goal really is to touch the world.”

Deion always knew he had a passion for music, but it wasn’t until performing at the Staples Center that he truly realized this is what he wanted to do. “It was one of those moments where you realize that this is exactly what you’re supposed to be doing with your life,” he says, “…right then and there nothing else matters in the world.”

One of his biggest goals is to go on tour with Bruno Mars. “Any show I (could) do involving him would be the most epic place I could perform (prayer hand emoji),” he says. Deion also mentions that any collaborations with Pharrell or Miguel would be out of this world. “To even be in the same room as them would be wild,” he comments.

Deion’s I made it moment is a never-ending goal. “I feel like I’m never going to be comfortable or satisfied with where I’m at, and will always be on the journey to go further and be better.”

Besides singing, Deion also writes, produces, and engineers music! “I also wrestle with bears on my free time,” he says. Whether or not you want to believe that last part is up to you, but we do have to say, this artist has quite the sense of humor!

Currently, Deion doesn’t belong to any record labels and mentions that being independent is his best possible option right now. “This is the start of something amazing, and to see everybody rocking with me already like this is insane,” he says.
