Today Kesha drops her new song “Raising Hell” ft. Big Freedia, further cementing the legacy of a modern pop icon who has always used her rebellious spirit, irreverent sense of humor, quick-witted songwriting and undeniable heart to reinvent herself and bring joy to her fans. It’s the first taste of what’s to come off her upcoming album ‘High Road’, which will be released January 10 on Kemosabe/RCA Records, available now for pre-order HERE.
The song begins soft with a piano and Kesha’s lush vocals before Big Freedia commands “Let’s go!” and a club-ready beat drops while Kesha unfurls fun-loving bars about embracing life’s wild moments. Co-written with Wrabel, Sean Douglas and Stint and produced by Stint and Omega, “Raising Hell” is a raucous celebration of the artist’s trademark IDGAF nature. As Kesha says during the chorus, “Mama raised me well, but I don’t wanna go to heaven without raising hell.”
