Spain via Argentina reggaeton/Neoperreo sensation Ms Nina today releases her debut mixtape Perreando por Fuera, Llorando por Dentro, out now via Mad Decent.

Translating to ‘Twerking/Grinding on the Outside, Crying on the Inside,’ (“perreo” being a provocative reggaeton dance which the perreo/neoperreo genres are named after) Ms Nina explores romantic reggaeton, Dembow, favela funk/baile funk, and more through a post-internet lens on Perreando por Fuera, Llorando por Dentro.
Featuring collaborations with key figures from the scene such as La Favi, Maria Escarmiento, and productions by El Licenciado, Mygal X, Beauty Brain, King Doudou, Chaboi, and more, Ms Nina turns down the misogynist speech of the older reggaeton hits and amplifies the voice of the female figure free of prejudices, stereotypes and imperatives, as displayed in lead single “Te Doy” — an anthem of self-empowerment, sexuality and consent.
With this freedom, Ms Nina presents ‘Perreando por Fuera, Llorando por Dentro’ leaving intact its premise: self-love.
