Crywolf Kicks Off ‘OBLIVION [Reimagined]’ Series With Mielo’s “DRIP” Remix

Following the release of his monumental studio album, widow [OBLIVION pt. 1], Crywolf is unveiling a new series titled ‘The OBLIVION [Reimagined],’ which will feature re-worked versions of the tracks. The first release in the series is a synth-heavy, 80’s-inspired “DRIP” remix from Chicago-based producer, Mielo.

Mielo recently served as opener for Crywolf’s shows in Los Angeles, Dallas and Denver, providing the perfect musical compliment to Crywolf’s cinematic shows. Mielo’s sound is vibrant and euphoric, highlighting his unique talents and blend of analog synth-pop sounds. Both Crywolf and Mielo have the ability to evoke raw emotions with their music, making Mielo the perfect fit for a Crywolf remix.

Crywolf, otherwise known as Justin Taylor Phillips, is a producer, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles, CA. Constantly challenging the expectation that an artist must fit into one singular genre, he ruthlessly colors outside of the lines, carving his own musical path, leading to a unique and often indefinable sound.

A full apocalyptic orchestra one moment, a lullaby whispered in the listener’s ear the next; Crywolf’s haunting vocals, abstract lyricism, atmospheric beats, and cinematic instrumentals could be the soundtrack to a lucid dream.

After releasing his 16-track album widow [OBLIVION pt. 1], Crywolf recently relocated to Bali to focus on creating part 2 of the widow album, slated for release later this year.

Mielo is a Chicago-based producer with the ability to create an illustrious vision and bring it to fruition musically. Since 2016, Mielo has steadily built a sound that he can call his own. He recently released his debut EP titled Anywhere But Here, a compilation of Mielo’s most sentimental music filled with lush soundscapes and delicate vocal accompaniments.
