Legendary British reggae-pop group UB40 (featuring the group’s two original singers Ali Campbell and Astro) will embark on their latest tour of North America that will take them across both the East and West Coast. Joined on the road by reggae icon and GRAMMY-Award winning recording artist Shaggy, the group will kick off the North American run of their world tour on August 28th with a performance at Toronto’s Noir Inside Rebel. The Green and Steel Pulse will also open on select dates. The tour will see the reggae figureheads playing their greatest hits as well as newer tracks for outdoor amphitheaters across North America with an ensemble of eight musicians.

The group are set to release a special edition of their 19th studio album A Real Labour of Love via Island Records to coincide with the tour. Its UK release last March saw the record hit #2 on the U.K. Charts, yet another top-ten record in a career that has spanned forty years, and countless hits.

UB40 have sold over 70 million records and seen incredible success domestically and internationally. The group have made waves with the hit single “Food For Thought,” as well as their critically-acclaimed versions of Neil Diamond‘s “Red Red Wine” and Elvis Presley‘s “(I Can’t Help) Falling In Love with You.”
