Sophia Scott has slowed things down with an acoustic rendition of her brand new single. “White Fence,” which was released last month, was added to Spotify’s highly-coveted New Music Friday playlist and quickly gained over 160K streams. Scott’s acoustic version of “White Fence” allows her vocals to shine as she strips the song back to its bare bones, while still managing to maintain the powerful, engaging, and instantly addictive spirit on the original track.

In addition to the release of the “White Fence” acoustic video, Scott will also be performing in Los Angeles at Hotel Cafe this Thursday, August 9th at 7pm. Tickets are available here.

Boulder-born, LA-based Sophia Scott is determined not to be restricted by genre. Combining a country twang with catchy pop melodies and R&B-esque vocals, Scott is creating an eclectic lane of her own.

Scott started gaining traction by posting YouTube covers that she recorded in her bedroom with just a guitar and a mic. Her powerful cover of Rihanna’s “Love On The Brain” has over 1 million views and her bluesy cover of Chris Stapleton’s “Tennessee Whiskey” has been picked up by almost every major country blog. While grabbing a guitar and belting out a cover is still her favorite party trick, Scott is ready to establish herself as a story teller with an inventive, fresh sound.
