She says: “’Smile on the Grass’ is a reflection of different decisions that you make and how you discover that you can be a different person. I don’t really remember how the title came out, I’m not aware of how I write songs and how the ideas come. I woke up from a crazy night and I was literally smiling on the grass. When I wrote this song I though it was about someone else. After playing this song a lot, I realized that it talks about me and I didn’t know. I guess you have different personalities inside. The whole record talks about this person called Marianne, which is me, but is not actually me.  There’s a part of yourself that you never fully understand and that’s what I try to understand with this song”.

Núria’s music paints intricate, reflective soundscapes, drawing on a myriad influences from indie, folk, soul and pop. Graham released her debut album ‘Bird Eyes’ back in 2015, and within a little over two years, has since dropped her 2016 EP ‘In The Cave’ and her recent LP ‘Does It Ring a Bell?’. In her latest LP Graham shines vibrantly with earthy vocals and instrumentation that ropes together a breezy 70s pop sound with a modern indie pressing.

During his meteoric career, which starts at 16 years old, she has opened for artists such as St. Vincent or Unknown Mortal Orchestra and her music hypnotises audiences in different parts of Europe where she has performed.

Núria Graham headlines Servant’s Jazz Quarters in London on 26th November and is currently ensconced in the studio recording material for her new album due 2020.
